Women's Health: Care with Empathy

Empathetic Care at ACPNY

At AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY), we know that women’s health issues aren’t always easy to talk about. When you come to our offices, you can be sure that our providers will listen, communicate with empathy, offer you up-to-date resources, and take care of the “whole you.” And, because our practice has its roots in the New York metropolitan area, our providers are part of the multicultural, multilingual communities we serve.

Talking Through Difficult Topics

For women of all ages, many health issues can sometimes be difficult to openly talk about, including:

  • Birth control
  • Fertility
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • Vaginitis and vaginal yeast infections
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Menstrual cramps and irregular menses

When you come to our practice, you can feel confident that our providers will treat you with compassion and understanding, and that you’re in a judgment-free environment. We invite open conversations with our patients as a way to uncover any information that will help us arrive at the right care plan for your health needs. This approach is especially important when you come in for your first exam, so we devote time to hearing about your fears and expectations and alleviating any anxiety you may have.

Menopause Services

We know that menopause can be a time of great change in a woman’s life. But, fear of judgment and embarrassment should not prevent you from having important discussions with your provider about the changes you are experiencing. That’s why ACPNY has developed a set of menopause-related videos, articles, and self-assessments—all custom-tailored for our patients. These helpful tools will teach you about topics like:

  • Sexual Symptoms of Menopause
  • Menopause and STD Transmission
  • Alternatives to Hormone Therapy

Additionally, our practice proudly employs providers specifically trained as North American Menopause Society (NAMS) Certified Menopause Practitioners, so you can be sure you’ll be receiving expert advice and treatment.
