Podiatry is a branch of medicine dedicated to diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions in feet, ankles, and the lower leg.

At Advantage Care Physicians, our Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), or simply Podiatrists, treat a variety of conditions, including:

  • Arthritis
  • Bunions / hammer toes
  • Corns / calluses / toenail fungus
  • Foot fractures or sprains
  • Neuromas
  • Ingrown nails
  • Foot or toe infection
  • Flat feet in children and adults
  • Plantar fasciitis / heel spurs
  • Diabetic foot education and prevention of ulcers and amputations

Patients should see a Podiatrist if they have persistent foot swelling or numbness, painful bunions, difficulty walking, or ingrown toenails. Podiatrists can use a variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures to alleviate foot pain, such as:

  • Reconstructive foot surgery
  • Set fractures
  • Measure and prescribe orthotics, insoles, and prosthetics
  • Ingrown toenail removal surgery
