Dr. Shayma Jawad completed undergraduate training in neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, and went on to earn a master’s degree in physiology from Georgetown University and a DO from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She conducted her internship and ophthalmology residency at Beaumont Health in Michigan, followed by a surgical glaucoma fellowship at West Virginia University. As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Jawad is primarily focused on general ophthalmologic care, including the treatment of advanced glaucoma and cataracts.
