Dr. Malvika Arya is a surgical retina specialist who is dedicated to providing skilled, personalized, and compassionate care to her patients. She earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at the Krieger Eye Institute, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where she served as Chief Resident. She went on to complete a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of California San Diego, where she also earned a mini-MBA focused on the business of healthcare. Dr. Arya has an extensive research background in retinal imaging and vitreoretinal diseases, authoring numerous publications in leading peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. She has presented her work at several national and international ophthalmology conferences and serves as a peer reviewer for renowned retina journals. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), and Women in Ophthalmology (WIO). Originally from Lexington, MA, Dr. Arya enjoys connecting with her community and exploring new experiences outside of medicine. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, exploring New York City's food scene, traveling, staying active, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
